This Week Inno Insights: Cargo drones, garage bots, and wave-powered electricity

Drones do the heavy lifting

California’s MightyFly just pulled off a milestone for the U.S. Air Force, an end-to-end, pilot-free cargo mission. Its hybrid eVTOL aircraft loaded, transported, and delivered two boxes across multiple sites, all on its own. With a 600-mile range and 100-pound payload, the future of logistics is airborne and hands-free.

Garage-built bots

Say hello to K-Bot by KScaleLabs, the first open-source humanoid robot built in a home garage and designed for everyday life. It toasts, it cleans, it responds to voice or app commands. No billion-dollar lab required, just brains, passion, and a toaster.

Waves into watts

French startup Seaturns is capturing clean energy straight from the sea. Its cylindrical converter rides ocean swells and transforms their motion into electricity. Backed by 1,500+ climate-conscious investors, the tech is heading to full-scale deployment at SEM-REV: clean, compact, and built to scale.
