Routing Challenge 2026

Yesterday, we hosted the second edition of the Routing Challenge, organised by the CMA CGM Fleet Center, bringing together participants from 10 countries across the maritime, technology and academic sectors.

Using their own softwares, teams optimized seven global routes, balancing weather conditions, fuel consumption, CO₂ emissions, arrival times and vessel constraints.
 

Powered by CMA CGM’s in-house Sea Rank tool, the challenge recognized three winners for overall performance, cost efficiency and route relevance from a captain’s perspective.
